Oh yeah, she's Buff...

Buffie first caught my attention on RMS because of her amazing ability to turn anything into rub n' buff gold! She began on RMS as some random number. It soon became clear to me (and others) that she needed to change her name. The fabulous Buffie was born! Not only does she have awesome decorating skills, she's just hilarious! Why I created this blog:

I am a recovering RMS addict. I've weaned myself off slowly, but I still stop by from time to time to check in with my RMS buddies.

On a recent visit to RMS (and thru a couple of e-mails), I started seeing the term "Gollum's blog" all over the place. Using my daft investigative skills, I was able to find "Designs by Gollum" blog. (Which is funny to me, because the pictures are actually of other people's designs.) It is beautiful! Some of my all time favorite rooms from RMS are featured there -- and that's great. Many consider it an honor to have one of their spaces on "Designs by Gollum".

I wrote a comment to her complimenting her on her blog and confessing that I wished I had thought of it myself. She did not post my comment.

They say that an idle mind is the devil's playground. If that's true, than my ADD mind is flippin' Disneyworld! One of my friends sent me an e-mail with a link to Gollum's blog, only she typed it in wrong (don't worry friend - your secret's safe with me), so when I clicked on the link, Blogger informed me that no such blog existed, but the name was available. I couldn't resist. Childish? Perhaps. Immature? Probably. But hey, that's how I roll...

Here are the Rules:

If you think your room/yard/etc. is beautiful, interesting, or otherwise blogworthy, post a comment to on my latest entry letting me know where I can get the picture. As long as it's not offensive or in poor taste, I will post it. (This is kinder, gentler blogspot.)

I will only post your rooms. If you want to post someone else's room, you will need to get their permission.

I will not change the lighting, add sparkles, faux fur, unicorns or other elements to the pictures. They will be as they appear on RMS (or wherever you originally posted them).

Comment moderation will be enabled. I will only post positive, encouraging comments. Mean people suck.

I have NOT obtained permission (nor do I think I need to) from the mysterious Gollum to create this site. I don't know if she will appreciate my wicked awesome sense of humor. You may be banned from the actual "Designs by Gollum" should you choose to post on "Not Gollum's Blog". Enter at your own risk!

Depending on the response, I will either post a few pictures every day, or post certain spaces on certain days. (Example: "Monday Mudrooms and Bathrooms") Maybe not exactly that, but you get the idea. I'm pretty sure I will have one day dedicated to pets, and I'll probably throw in a wildcard every now and then: "It's Rooster Friday!"

The rest we'll figure out as we go along. Are you in? Come on, show me your spaces!
